You can also browse ISO/WIM/IMG/VHD(x)/EFI files in local disk and boot them. You can copy many image files at a time and ventoy will give you a boot menu to select them. With ventoy, you don't need to format the disk over and over, you just need to copy the image files to the USB drive and boot it.
In Windows environment: Just download last available version ventoy-1.0.78-windows.zipĮxtract it to a folder in your HD, plug your USB device, and run Ventoy2Disk.exe from the extracted folder, (for installation guide see this link), select your prefered options and follow instructions to create (format) a USB device to use Ventoy.Īdditionally you may need the plugins mentioned on this post.Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO/WIM/IMG/VHD(x)/EFI files. The USB device has to be created (formated) since the begining using Ventoy.
So it will not work if it is on a partition layout not created by itself. Prohibit the use of Ventoy in unofficial environments.
